Before anyone knew the gender of our baby, I would get asked if we were hoping for a boy or a girl. I don't know why that is such a popular question. When I would honestly reply that it didn't matter to me, the very next follow-up phrase by the questioner (without fail) would be, "Just as long as it's healthy right?" My response has always caught them off guard. I make it a point to share with them, "The unhealthy babies need mamas too". I'd keep and love an unhealthy baby just as I would one that were whole. When I think of all the babies that are born, it is amazing to me that I have 3 totally functioning boys. What a blessing.

So, I never promised to be an up-to-the-minute, fantastic blogger. Heck, I didn't even shoot for mediocrity. But, I had some thoughts zipping in and out of my head today. Ever consider recording all those shifting thoughts as they come to you one right after the other? Me neither. It makes for an interesting exercise. Face a blank sheet of paper, and record every thought that pops in and out for a specified amount of time. Where do your thoughts take you?

Isn't it funny how people always have to ask a pregnant lady the same questions? Are we all supposed to answer the same way? I love your response. Every baby is such a miracle. I am so happy for you guys! Your little Ryan is so precious. Enjoy having your "room mate" - she is so lucky to be coming to your family!
Isn't that the truth! Well said.
