Braden's car took 2nd place in his den, so he will be competing in Districts in a few weeks. He's really excited. He designed his own shape and color scheme, then had daddy-O help with the carving and construction. The kids weren't given any practice runs, so we really had no idea how his car would do. Turned out pretty good! His car was whisked away last night, so come April 12th, they will be reunited again for one more racing battle! See the last 2 pictures for his car taking first place in that particular heat. Braden is in the background cheering his car on- ya baby!

Looks like we need some advice from Braden for next years car. We have friends that have won (4 boys) every year the last several years. They even have their own track in their basement.....
We took the opposite approach - Josh did it all, except cutting it out. Did it win? A few.
It cracks me up how intense some Dad's get about it all.

That looks like lots of fun. I'd never been to a pinewood derby until about a month ago for Brandon's EQ activity. Watching a bunch of grown up kids isn't quite as fun! :)
