The Wild Wild West
Summer is the best time for us to get outside and have some fun. Although we live in the greenest, lushest, wettest, forested area you can imagine, a 90-minute drive east puts us smack dab into the real-life scenery of a western movie. Here we are at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center in The Dalles, OR. The kids ran from the mammoth at first until they realized he wasn't going to stomp them into the ground. Turns out he just had a scratch under his chin that he needed help with. Such a friendly giant. The lizards hiding out in a pile of logs were way too fast for the kids to catch, but that didn't stop them from trying for 30 minutes.
